In short: The learning tools on this site are free to use. This site does not take bookings or payments — lessons are arranged by email and paid by invoice. Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance — a missed lesson without notice counts as taught.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of jinnylangkorean.com ("the site"), operated by JinnyLang Korean Language Institute (지니랑 한국어연구소), an individual business based in the Republic of Korea. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.

2. What we provide

  • Free learning tools. Korean-language apps, vocabulary and grammar references, and pronunciation aids, provided free of charge and without registration.
  • Paid lessons. One-to-one online Korean lessons, booked and paid separately.

We may add, change, or discontinue any tool at any time. Free tools are provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3. Using the site

You agree not to:

  • copy, republish, sell, or redistribute our content or apps, in whole or in part;
  • use automated tools to scrape, overload, or interfere with the site;
  • attempt to bypass security measures or access areas not intended for visitors;
  • use the site for any unlawful purpose.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, app code, illustrations, audio recordings, vocabulary and grammar data, and the JinnyLang name and logo — belongs to JinnyLang Korean Language Institute and is protected by copyright.

You may use the tools freely for your own study and quote short passages with credit and a link. You may not use our material in commercial teaching products, paid courses, or published materials without written permission. For permission, write to [email protected].

5. Booking and payment

  1. You contact us through the enquiry form or by email, and we agree a lesson time together. No booking or payment happens on this website.
  2. We send you an invoice by email through PayPal.
  3. Your booking is confirmed once payment is received. For students returning after a completed course, we may agree in advance to payment after the lesson.
  4. Payment is in USD / JPY / KRW. You pay the amount shown on the invoice — we cover the PayPal processing fee. Any foreign-transaction or currency fee charged by your own card issuer or bank is outside our control.

Lesson fees are shown on the price list and confirmed with you before the first lesson.

6. Cancellation and rescheduling

If you are late, we will wait 15 minutes. The lesson still ends at the scheduled time. If the teacher cannot attend, you receive a free reschedule or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Lesson packages must be used within 3 months of purchase.

7. Refunds

Refunds follow section 6 and are returned by the same method used for payment, normally within 14 days. Any transaction fee already charged by PayPal may be deducted. To request a refund, write to [email protected].

8. No guarantee of results

We teach carefully and use official TOPIK past papers and recognised references, but language learning depends on your own study. We do not guarantee any particular test score, TOPIK grade, or level of fluency. Our materials are study aids and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) or any official TOPIK body.

9. Advertising

This site displays advertising from Google AdSense. Advertisements are selected by Google, not by us. We do not endorse advertised products or services and are not responsible for them. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.

10. External links

The site may link to other websites for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the free tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when. Changes that affect booked lessons will be notified by email and will not apply to lessons already paid for.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be handled by the court with jurisdiction over the operator's place of business, unless consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
